The clutch

The clutch is a vital part to connect engine and transmission. It is not really an expensive part but it is very difficult to replace it. Not something we could do on the trail.
So, we have to do everything possible to keep it healthy and alive.

Here are the absolute no-no's:
Do not "pop" the clutch (rapid release) under any circumstances
do not "slip" the clutch (very slow release)
do not slip first and then suddely pop out the clutch
do not let out the clutch with a high revving engine

Here is the right way to do it:
in one fluid movement let out the clutch from beginning to end
since our engines are very strong at slow speeds, no or very little extra gas is needed to start.

Just watch the following video to see how it is done;
