Almost all of the road leading from Georgetown to the trailhead is now paved - but there is one small dusty stretch left.

On our way to Uncle Toms Cabin we will encounter a short stretch of dusty dirt road. Please drive slow and keep so much distance that you don't have to swallow the dust kicked up by the guy in front of you. You may have to wait a few seconds before you follow him. Also, driving too fast into the parking spot at Uncle Toms will get its owner pretty upset. So, please slow down!
