Rubicon

The Rubicon Trail runs through a remote part of the High Sierras of California. There are no alternative routes in or out. There are no paralleling roads that would enable us to get help in. We have to solely rely on radio communication or satellite phones (I carry one for your safety) to get the word out in case we should have an emergency. I also have FM radios with me to contact emergency crews like helicopter etc. when needed.

So, be careful with whatever you do. Watch where you step and always use your seatbelts.
