Subject: Who? is killing the Rubicon!
Hats off to Witham!
I'd hoped there were some true Americans left in the lower 48 and it seams we do have hope. I have always heard that the Rubicon was a place where your wildside can explore a little, and get a break from the human way of life. It seams that almost everything we try to fix involves a loss of some sort. I feel that there is a problem with people taking a dump on the trail and mabey they could find a tree off the trail. I know, mabey we should get all of the do-gooders together and have a turd round-up. 1st problem solved
Now how is it that a broke California can affored to have 4 cops patroling the Rubicon but they can't take care of our own borders. I think Its a crying shame that the do-gooders and big brothers can't keep gangs and scum off the street but they can sure mess with the hard working Rednecks and off road lovers. People who care more about this land than people who have never been there, sheep that just heard stories or seen some trumped up story by some writer trying to stur up some s$%#. I say leave the Rubicon alone just turn a blind eye so to speak, I know.... just say that It's an Ileagle imagrant trail and you wont see a cop around for 200 miles.
I know there is drinking, guns, loose women, bad jugement calls and many other senerios that are all associated with having a good old boy' time. If anyone has bothered to check into the history of the area you would know that this is the way its been for 200 years why change it. They say that nature claims everthing over time and one day it will claim us to. I would like to think that I left it alone and took nothing from it or expected more than it had to give.
P.S. I also agreed with the e-mail from anonymous (the one that cussed alot).He was saying that he dosent like people sticking their noses where they shouldnt be sticking them. If they had a no assholes allowed (AKA do-gooders) law in this state we could all sleep a little better at night.
God Bless o|||||o
